Job Title: Senior Professional Services Consultant, Japan

The Professional Services department within Informatica is responsible for ensuring customers are successful in deploying our data integration and analytic platforms. Our consultants work with our customers and business partners both on short-term assignments to provide spot, Informatica expertise, as well as longer-term efforts to ensure a decision support project is delivered in accordance with the customer's expectations.
Working either independently or with a team of Informatica and/or Business Partner consultants, senior consultants take a primary point of contact role with clients. Our senior consultants must bring a combination of technical depth, written/verbal communication, and client management skills.
Consultants utilize our decision support methodology, Velocity, on all engagements, with a particular emphasis on the Architecture, Design, and Deploy phases. Ensuring that clients leverage Informatica Best Practices in architecture design and performance tuning are common challenges our senior consultants address with clients.
Though in-town assignments are given the highest priority, Informatica Professional Services Senior Consultants must be willing to travel. Efforts are made to ensure this travel is limited to your home region and occurs during the work week. Knowledge management and sharing is a high priority, so each Senior Consultant has time each month to document client projects and record best practices.
- Bachelors degree required
- Demonstrated experience with PowerCenter
- Unix and/or NT server experience as well as RDBMS
- Minimum 5 years DI/MDM/DQ solution development/deployment experience required
- Proven experience in using Data Integration / Master Data Management / Data Quality Tools
- Good handle on current trends in data warehouse and business analytics technologies
- Experience with Informatica products is required
- Proven consulting background with strong written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness to travel
