It is a forward-looking group consisting of highly talented team members who work together closely to develop solutions which maximize the efficiency of its customers and the competitive advantage of the company.<br/><br/><b>Your Opportunity</b><br/>Informatica is looking for a bright, organized, and dedicated Sr. Systems Administrator with particular knowledge in the areas of Virtualisation technologies, Server/Storage hardware, NetBackup, Data Domain, Microsoft Systems and datacenters, to be based in the company&#8217;s Maidenhead, UK location. The IT Operations organization maintains many systems that enable access to critical business resources and enforces policies to operate and secure them. Systems such as Dell/HP x86 Servers, Active Directory/DNS, VMware Vsphere 5, Windows Server 200x, Netbackup 7.x, and Exchange 2010 are included in the responsibilities. The Sr. Systems Administrator will also backfill for other Systems team members as needed.<br/>Reporting to the EMEA IT Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be a key contributor in a lean and high impact IT organization of over 100 people who are aligned in several geographically dispersed centers that support an employee base of over 2,500 people in over 25 countries.<br/><br/><b>Our Ideal Candidate</b><br/>This role requires a highly driven, organized, and technically dynamic individual with excellent communication skills, who is able to effectively manage the various systems. The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the required academic criteria and experience in systems administration, convey his or her ability and willingness to work in a team, and demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, in a professional and friendly manner.<br/><br/><b>Your Responsibilities</b><br/>As an individual senior contributor focusing on enabling employees to be even more successful at their jobs, your role will be to:<br/>- Assist in the management of our VMWare 5 environment.<br/>- Assist in the management of Exchange 2010 centralized cluster administration for over 2,000 mailboxes globally<br/>- Administer Active Directory 2008 including DNS, DHCP, GPO&#8217;s, OUs, power shell scripts, and delegation profiles; participate in upgrade to 2008 R2 ADS native<br/>- Support and administer backup/recovery using Symantec&#8217;s Netback up 7.x with Data domain<br/>- Work with lead Windows Systems Administrator to train offshore GOC team in repetitive Level 1 & 2 tasks (server builds, incident management, procedures) and new technologies for 24x7 incident support<br/>- Handle server hardware management and support assistance.<br/>- Do performance tuning, configuring and upgrading of Operating Systems<br/>- Assist with system disaster recovery requirements<br/>- Recommend leading edge approaches to automation, self-service, and efficiency of systems<br/>- Demonstrate experience with LDAP, ADFS, SAML 2.x, Kerberos<br/><br/><b>Your Qualifications</b><br/>Professional/Academic Experience:<br/>- 6+ years of experience in Information Technology operations<br/>- 6+ years of relevant professional experience in Windows systems, server hardware, and virtualization administration with Unix knowledge an advantage.<br/>- 3+ years of demonstrated project management experience, including experience managing rollout of Microsoft or VMware solutions across a multi-site, global, enterprise<br/>- Strong team player capable of providing support across the IT organization to train and assist others<br/>- Demonstrable ability to work with a diverse team across global time zones (i.e., US, India, Europe) to effectively complete tasks and objectives<br/>- Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet specific deadlines through the use of strong organizational skills.<br/>- Highly energetic, self-motivated, quick learner with the ability to work independently<br/>- BS in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline<br/>- Professional certifications in Microsoft or VMware Technologies desirable<br/>- Willing to Travel internationally if required<br/><br/>Your <br/><b>Qualifications</b><br/>- VMware Vsphere 4.x/5.x Administration<br/>- Microsoft Active Directory, Exchange 2010, Windows 2008 R2, DNS/DHCP<br/>- Server Hardware administration and provisioning<br/>- PowerShell scripting to automate tasks<br/>- Netback up 7.x and higher<br/>- Linux/Unix exposure<br/><br/>Informatica offers a competitive compensation package that includes base salary, medical, retirement and employee stock purchase (ESP) programs, flexible time off and more.
